Drive shaft measuring automation / measuring station – pneumatic measuring technology

Drive shaft Measuring automation for different output shaft variants. The operator can quickly convert the measuring station to the different drive shafts via interchangeable units and the adjustment of the tailstock, headstock and resetting device.

The drive shafts are placed on the pre-storage via the gantry loader of the processing machine; after leaving the protected area, the measuring sequence is started automatically. The measuring air is switched on, the centre point and the measuring slide are fed. After starting the rotary drive, the dynamic measurement is started. After evaluation, the measurement results are displayed on the screen, stored on the computer and output at the interface. The measuring units are reset, the rotary drive and measuring air are shut off, and the drive shaft can be taken over by the gantry loader.

Calibration is carried out automatically via Setting Master MIN. The calibration time can be set freely in the software, after the request the gantry loader places the Setting Master on the pre-storage and the measuring device recognises the Setting Master and the calibration cycle is carried out automatically. After removal by the gantry loader, measurement can continue.

Output wheel measuring device / measuring station pneumatic – electronic measuring technology

Measuring station for different variants of the output wheel with a combination of pneumatic and electronic measuring technology. The operator can quickly adjust the measuring station to the different output wheel heights by moving the measuring units.

The component is placed on the pre-storage, after leaving the light curtain the measuring sequence is started automatically. The measuring air is switched on, the output wheel is lowered, and the centre point is closed. The measuring unit is fed in and the rotary drive is started after the measuring probes have been fed in. Dynamic measurement takes place and after evaluation the measurement results are displayed on the screen and stored on the computer. The measuring units are reset, the rotary drive and measuring air are shut off and the output wheel is raised for removal.

Calibration is done manually via Setting Master MIN. The calibration time can be freely set in the software, after the request, the Setting Master is placed on the pre-storage and the measuring unit recognises the Setting Master and the calibration cycle is carried out automatically. After removal, measurement can be continued.

This output shaft measuring station can be used to measure different output shaft variants, 3-hole, 4-hole or 5-hole variants. The operator can quickly change the measuring station over to the different planetary carriers using exchange units.

The component is aligned on the pre-support via auxiliary bolts. After leaving the light curtain, the measuring sequence is started automatically. The measuring air is switched on, the output shaft is lowered and pressed into the measuring position. Static measurement takes place and after evaluation the intermediate results are displayed on the screen, the output shaft is raised and manual measurement with the measuring ring is carried out. After the measured value has been accepted, the measuring air is switched off, the final result is displayed on the screen and stored on the computer. The output shaft can be removed.
