Brake disc / brake drum measurement

The brake disc / brake drum measuring automations are designed in such a way that they can be integrated into the production process.

The measuring automations can be equipped with their own belt, turning station or lifting turntable for component infeed and outfeed. On request, delivery with DMC camera, n.i.O. marking system, automatic master feed and interfaces for processing machines and/or robots is possible. marking system, automatic master feed and interfaces for processing machines and/or robots.

The base is designed in such a way that various components can be measured here by safely and easily converting / rearranging the individual measuring units.

Brake disc measuring automation with electronic measuring technology

The brake disc measuring automations are designed in the basis for different variants of brake discs. The adjustment is done by some exchange units: Measuring elements with electronic probes that can be adjusted to the different measuring positions and an electrically adjustable belt conveyor. The operator adjusts the measuring automation according to the conversion plan, and after calibration a new brake disc can be measured.

The brake disc is placed on the infeed conveyor from the previous station. After release, the component is conveyed into the DMC code reading / turning unit and stopped. Here the brake disc is lifted out, the DMC code is read and placed back on the belt at 180°. After transport and stopping in the measuring unit, the brake disc is lifted into the measuring position by the rotary lifting unit, the temperature sensor is fed in and the measuring carriage is moved forward into the measuring position. The component temperature is measured and after retraction, the rotary drive is started and the measuring elements are fed. The dynamic measurement takes place and after evaluation the measurement results are displayed on the screen and stored on the computer. The rotary drive is stopped and all measuring units are reset after the belt is laid down. In case of a n.o.k. measurement, a second measurement is carried out. After the measurement result, the brake disc is conveyed to the next station, turning & n.i.O. Marking. In the case of a n.i.O. measurement, it is marked and discharged on the n.i.O. belt. For an i.O. measurement, it is turned back by 180° and conveyed to the next station for transfer.

Calibration is carried out automatically by means of the setting master. The calibration time can be freely set in the software. After the request, the setting master is moved to the transfer position and taken over by the rotary lifting device. The calibration cycle is carried out automatically as described under Measuring.
